1. What we provide

Random Pick Verse is a free, client-side suite of random picker tools: name wheels, number pickers, letter pickers, team generators and sports team pickers (NBA, NFL, MLB). No account is required. All picks run in your browser using localStorage and URL-encoded state. There is no backend database storing your entries.

2. Eligibility & acceptable use

You must be at least 13 years old or have parental consent where required by law. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service;
• Upload or spin content that infringes third-party rights or violates law;
• Circumvent any access controls or interfere with other users’ enjoyment.

We may suspend or block access if we detect abuse.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the entries you paste (names, numbers, custom team lists). Because the Service is client-side, your entries never leave your device unless you create a share link (?w= parameter). You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you share and that shared links do not contain personal or sensitive data you do not intend to disclose.

4. Our intellectual property

The Service’s design, code, layout, and original copy are owned by Random Pick Verse and protected by copyright. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our code or design without permission. See our Disclaimer & IP Notice for trademark and third-party content rules.

5. Third-party trademarks & logos

NBA, NFL, MLB and all team names, logos, and related marks are trademarks of their respective leagues and teams. This Service is an unofficial fan tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the National Basketball Association, National Football League, Major League Baseball, ESPN, or any team. Logos are used solely for nominative identification under fair use (17 U.S.C. §107) to help you identify teams while picking. No ownership is claimed and no infringement is intended. If you are a rights holder, see DMCA procedure.

Logos are hotlinked from public CDNs for identification only: NBA via raw.githubusercontent.com/gtkacz/nba-logo-api and NFL/MLB via a.espncdn.com/i/teamlogos. We do not host these files.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on Google Fonts and, when confetti is enabled, cdn.jsdelivr.net (canvas-confetti). Your use of those resources is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services linked from the Service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your requirements. Picks are random and for entertainment, decision-support, and educational use; do not rely on them for high-stakes gambling, legal, or medical decisions.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Random Pick Verse and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed USD $10 or the amount you paid us (which is $0 for the free Service).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Random Pick Verse from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your entries, shared links, or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. DMCA & copyright

We respect intellectual property and respond to valid DMCA notices. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or trademark, please send a notice via our Contact form (select “DMCA / Trademark Notice”) with the information listed in our Disclaimer — DMCA section. We will act expeditiously to review and, where appropriate, remove or disable access.

11. Changes to the Service & Terms

We may update the Service or these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If a change is material, we will make a reasonable effort to highlight it.

12. Governing law & severability

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver.
